Taipei, Taiwan (Day 3)

The next morning, I headed to Yang Ming Shan (YMS). In order to get to Yang Ming Shan, simply take the metro to Shilin station and board Red5. It will take around 30 minutes to the foot of the mountain, and after that, take Bus 108.

I enjoyed my time at YMS as it was a magnificent view, but just that the bus was really slow in coming and really small, so it wasn't very roomy. In fact the bus up to YMS was like a van as the roads were quite steep to have a bus going up. This is the map of the route of the bus going up YMS:

After that, I returned to where I boarded Bus 108, and took Bus 230 (opposite of 7-11) to Beitou station. I was on a lookout to have a hotsprings dip! It definitely did not come as a cheap experience, but it is indeed an experience that one must have in a lifetime. This cost me approximately NT800 for a 1.5hour session.

Basically there are lots of places offering hotsprings at Beitou area, so do scout around. If you are comfortable in a public pool, it will definitely be much cheaper. I wanted a private experience so I took the whole room to myself, hence the price. I have never felt so refreshed in my life after the dip! My skin felt smooth and my pores felt clean. It was a great experience. After that, it was already close to late afternoon so I journeyed off on the metro to Danshui station.

My main aim of going Danshui station is to walk around, admire the evening scenery, and lastly buy Tie Dan (preserved eggs) to bring home as souvenirs. After that, I went to Shilin Night market, and the station to stop at would be Jiantan station. I had my craving of the fried chicken chop fulfilled and there I ended my day.
